The Thunder Bay Masjid will host Eid online at 8:15 am. Please privately message for Zoom link. We will also host an Eid Drive thru to give out sweets for the entire community from 12 pm -1:30 pm at the Masjid.RE: Eid Prayers at home Due to pandemic guidelines, many of us won’t be able to pray Eid at the Masjid. Here are some guidelines on how to pray at home. Eid prayer can be prayed at home (Hanbali, Maliki, Shaafie’ & some Hanafi scholars). Some Hanafi scholars have said 4 rakaʾāt of ṣalāt al-ḍuḥā or ṣalāt al-ishrāq should be prayed instead of the Eid prayer. In short, seven extra Takbeers in the first raka’ before surah al-Fatiha and five extra takbeers in the second raka’ before surah al-Fatiha. The sermon after the prayer is not necessary. Goodie bags & sweets distribution will be from 12:00 pm -1:30 today In light of the present COVID-19 virus situation and to protect you and to protect the volunteers, you are asked to observe the following: * No walk-ins please * Volunteers will be out to hand out bags to you in your Vehicle. * Bags are prepared please don’t ask for substitute. * Please stay in your vehicle at all times. * Exit mosque parking lot as soon as possible, please do not gather.
